I think the female protagonist looks cute. And with the weird facial animations, she also looks like a crazy person. I guess it's part of her charm.
Hope it gets fixed though, then I'll consider buying the game on sale.

The male gaze theory keeps being brought up and I think there is actually some validity to it
I mean look at all the preset faces for females. Literally every single female human character in the game has there nose's and or cheeks fatted up to an awkward amount that it just looks unnatural and weird. It seems like they tried going with a basic template model that would appease more "real people", not in the sense that ugly woman and hot men are great, but rather that they dont care about the men looking hot, but if the females where too hot then that would be too pandery. Sort of backfired a ♥♥♥♥ ton right back at them with the same problem

Also this is coming from Bioware B team Montreal, which I believe houses a fair amount of sjw progressive thinkers and such. I mean these guys have been around for a while, but they just did grunt work for the main bioware. Why the hell they are the main development team for this next chapter in this universe I have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue. I wouldnt be surprised if Andromeda gets a sequel made by the better guys
