Romance help

Ok I've never played ME1 or ME3. Mass effect 2 is the only game I've played (well playing right now). I just need help with romance.

So I'm romancing Miranda right now. I got as far as kissing her in her room. However, I wish to pursue a relationship with Tali instead. Since I'm already far in the Miranda relationship, can I instead date Tali? Thanks in advance!

You should probably be able to flirt with Tali, if you havent passed the dialogue where it happens yet, but you'll need to break up with Miranda for her to accept it.

At least that's how it works if Femshep flirts with both Garrus and Thane, I would expect it is the same here, but obviously I cant be certain.

The Tali romance is a big disappointment, and really all you get is a picture of her on your bed stand without her mask. She is cute though! You dont lose loyalty for breaking up...

How is Tali's romance worse than Miranda's, though?

the only bad thing about tali in ME2... her face wasnt revealed and in ME3 the photoshop is a punch in the face for the 'veterans' and you cant build that house on the homeworld

and if i'm correct if you breakup with miranda she dies in ME3 to kay leng (dont care about the name) or something

i would call liara romance the worse since she gets to much credit and leave the others to dust

You could try use save editor, but some bug might happen if you modify the romance/storyline.

Tali is very Clingy and it shows in ME2 almost from the start when rescuing her on Haestrom. The man who save this 21 year old girl from Fist and his thugs on the Citadel made a impression on Tali to the point she was secretly star struck and didn't want to tell the commander she had a crush on him. Her inner thoughts are known in recorded logs on Haestrom in ME2 a few years later (in game years).

Miranda is emotionally vulnerable due to her genetically modified upbringing and her fathers controlling ways. it's dogged her since she could first understand it. For all her "perfect" tailoring and abilities, she isn't as sure about herself as she appears.

If you plan on getting into an affair with Tali over Miranda, don't be surprised if you wake up one day and your happy sack is missing.

Kai Leng. And depending on your choicesin ME2 and ME3, including meet ups with Miranda and warning about Leng, it will determine what happens to her later on Horizon, also actions taken at the time on Horizon will also impact what happens to Miranda.

Tali isn't clingy. And she isn't a helpless little girl either, in fact she is a technical genius (even by quarian standards, who are known to be the best across the entire galaxy) and a great fighter.

However, it is understandable that she would crush on Shepard - most people hate quarians because reasons, and yet this human has always been a friend to her and treated her as an equal. Something even her own people have rarely done, in spite of all her achievements.

That the Femshep-Tali romance was removed from the game is a damned shame.

you should replay that whole thing and see it from another point of view. tali is almost afraid to lose shepard if he confirms to her how he feels and further she acts like she doesn't want anyting bad to happen to the point she is extra nice, even if she is a bit shy about what it is she wants off shepard. she is very protective of this.

I really dont see how worrying about your lover is a bad thing, considering Shep's job is going into suicidal battles constantly. It seems just natural to me, indicative that Quarians are just human in the end.
