Cerberus Server Login every time i start the game
Hi,

Every time i start the game in the main menu a message appears that the game can't verify the DLCs without connection to Cerberus servers. So i enter my login data and everything is working fine till i close the game. But this is happening on every game start. The message says there was a timeout and i have to login again. Is there any workaround or something like that so that i do not have to enter login data every time ? Its really tedious... Why can't the login data be saved somehow?

Thx in advance.

It seems to be an issue on EA's end and has been happening for quite some time now. Considering the amount of changes they've made to their servers over the past few years, it's unlikely that a workaround or fix will ever become available.

We're stuck with the DRM, but you'll get used to it.
Hmm I wonder if the free version on origin has the drm removed ?
Okay so after some research i found a solution.

1.) Delete this file: My Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Profile\Player1.prf
2.) Start the Game and Login to Cerberus Servers

Now login will be saved and autologin is working when starting the game again!

Please check your settings after you deleted this file, some of them are set to default.
Then just reload your career and all the old saves are available again.

...ok it was only fixed for a few restarts ... after a while it happend again.
So yeah...guess we have to live with that issue.
In my case I think it was solved after installing dlcs. Anyways you can turn off online settings through main menu options and it wont bother you again..
Yeah that leads me to my next question.
I logged in to activate the DLCs.
Although i'm connecte to the Cerberus network, the DLCs are not authenticated.
On every game start the game is telling me again, that i have to connect to the Cerberus network :/

Does it matter from which source i download the DLCs?
I bought them years ago from bioware site.
But this time i downloaded them from this page. - https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/dragon-age/dragon-age-origins/bioware-classics-dlc/
Installation is working fine for all of them but as i said, the check on startup always fails.
I dont think it matters where you download them from if you can succesfully unlock them. You only need to be log to cerberus once after you installed them. After that you can turn that feature off. I dont think dlc's get active in the journal till you reach the normandy for the first time.
Yes but i installed all DLCs in the beginning and i'm already 10h in the game.
I was connected to the Cerberus Network now for about 20 times and DLCs seems still not be activated... :/

Update: (Fixed it)

1.) Reinstalled the game and connected to Cerberus first time - OK
2.) Installed the DLCs
3.) Started the game again, connection to Cerberus was still fine
4.) Load the old save game - DLCs are activated now!

May the problem was, that i installed some Mods BEFORE i activated the DLCs and that caused the problems. Don't know exactly but now everything is fine :-)

cool, what mods re you using?
Some Mods from Nexus like ENB with SweetFX + ALOT package (A lot of Textures 2017)
They really pimp up this game in a great way!

Update:
It seems that the Cerberus verification has problems with the ALOT modification.
After the mod is installed, the verification for the DLCs is not possible. I can connect to Cerberus but its not working anymore so i can't load the old savegame.
Damn you EA for that ♥♥♥♥.

Only way to use this Mod and avoid the Cerberus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is to use the DLC unlocker. I know its not legal but i paid for the DLCs and i want to use them with mods so please let me play the games and dlcs i bought you bastards gnaaaaah.
