Can't talk to Liara after Horizon

I just finished the Horizon mission and went to Illium to talk to Liara about the dossiers and I entered the room to meet her and literally nothing happened. I reloaded the save and the issue persisted. Any thoughts on how to fix this. I also have the Shadow Broker DLC if that helps.

I had this happen on a playthrough where i would enter her office but the cut scene wouldn't trigger, so i ran over to the bar area, checked some stuff out there, overhead some people needing stuff in missions i would be taking later, like Miranda's etc., came back, and the cutscene triggered. I remember this bug repeating if i just loaded my save from arriving on Ilium for some reason.

So basically do another mission and try again?

All i did was run to a different section, came back and it triggered, i don't remember running any missions in Illium at the time.

I left the entire zone came back and it was still bugged :/

Might try boarding the Normandy, fly off to different area and come back, i dont know Hellfire, it worked for me. Think i had your bug twice, not sure why it happens.

5 years to late but since this is STILL an issue in the "Legendary" edition of the game on PC and it was an issue 10 years ago on the gamefaqs forums, I JUST discovered the solution: There's a bug on controller where you can not select the message from the terminal inside Liara's office on Illium. Use your mouse instead and it will let you click "select" to advance the Recruit the Assassin mission. (this was all done AFTER I killed the shadow broker.
