Hello everyone,

We want to share an important update on the future of this project.

As development continued, it became clear that the game was evolving far beyond what Labyrinth: Shadows of the Kingdom was originally designed to be. The concept, gameplay direction, world, and overall vision have changed enough that continuing under the old name and structure no longer made sense.

Because of that, we’ve made the decision to move forward under a new identity:

Labyrinth: Shadows of the Kingdom is becoming Mythics Unleashed.

This is not just a name change. To properly support the new concept, we are restarting development from the ground up.

That means rebuilding the game around the new vision instead of trying to force the old foundation to fit something it was never meant to be. While this is a major shift, it is the right move for the long-term quality of the project and for the kind of experience we want to create.

Mythics Unleashed is being developed as a new fantasy action-adventure focused on powerful collectible heroes, combat, exploration, and a much larger creative direction than the original version of the project.

We also want to note that we do not have official final art for the project yet. Because of that, the art currently shown on the Steam page is temporary placeholder art and does not represent the final visual branding or presentation of Mythics Unleashed.

We know this is a big change, especially for those of you who have followed the project under the Labyrinth name, and we truly appreciate your patience and support. We believe this fresh start will allow us to build a stronger, more focused game that better represents the vision we want to bring to life.

Going forward, updates and development news will be shared under Mythics Unleashed.

💔 Project Update: Labyrinth: Shadows of the Kingdom 💔

Today, we have to share some difficult news. After much thought, we’ve made the decision to end development on Labyrinth: Shadows of the Kingdom.

This was never an easy choice. We’ve spent countless hours building its world from designing the combat with melee, magic, and shields, to shaping the Witherlings and Rotguards that lurked in the dark. We wanted to give players an atmospheric and challenging experience set deep within a kingdom lost to time.

But sometimes, despite the passion and the work, projects don’t make it to the finish line. Between shifting priorities, limited resources, and the realities of development, continuing Labyrinth just isn’t possible.

Though it never saw release, this project still means a great deal to us. It helped us grow as developers, try new ideas, and push ourselves further. We’re proud of what was created, even if it won’t reach its full potential.

To everyone who supported the project or looked forward to its release thank you. Your encouragement has meant the world, and it fuels us as we move forward to future projects.

The labyrinth may remain unfinished, but its shadows will always be part of our journey.
