New Save Erased My Game While Minimized
So I opened Hello Kitty and was going to play when a friend asked me to play Marvel Rivals, I minimized Hello Kitty @ the menu and played some Rivals. Loaded into Rivals and after a few minutes of playtime whenever I pressed R2 it would cause the join Discord option to pop up, meaning that somehow I was still navigating Hello kitty despite playing another game. So I alt tab and bring up the Hello Kitty window to see it at the introduction of the game, with Hello Kitty talking, so it must've hit new game. I go to task manager and close the program. Go to reopen kitty after finishing a rivals session and the only options are New Game and Save Slots, the only option for save slot is of a new game started with 0:00 time on record. So that means that the game just autosaves over everything at the start of new game?? I've been saving my game throughout my play through and not once has it asked me which save slot I want to choose, I'm really confused right now. Is my game just gone? If it autosaves no matter what, what's the point of the manual safe function? Is there any way to fix my game or do I just have to uninstall?

UPDATE: Save was able to be restored by Sunblink by emailing them @ support@sunblink.freshdesk.com. They were able to access my previous save and restore it!

Sounds like you just overwrote your own save, not really anyone's fault and I don't think uninstalling will fix it. Unless you were conscientious enough to disable cloud sync before closing the game. You'll just have to deal with the consequences of your actions. Hopefully learning some new.

Saves are in appdata folder, even if it overwrite, there should be a backup folder (just checked it myself)

So this wasn't a super helpful comment, though I get what you were going for. I think that a game taking inputs while inactive or minimized isn't really common at all. Most games (at least the ones I play) don't read inputs when minimized, so Hello Kitty doing it has to be some kind of oversight or result of it being a ported over mobile game. LUCKILY, I was able to restore my cloud save by emailing Sunblink's support! So I hope now everyone experiencing similar save issues know that they can message support@sunblink.freshdesk.com to restore a previous save. Thank you and have a nice day.
