Jittery Friend Follow

Anyone else experiencing the choppy movements when some characters follow you ? Swimming with Badtz Maru specifically is so NOT smooth for me. Or with TOPHAT as well. I don't have everyone at friend follow status yet, but those are the ones I've noticed the most. Also the Sunfish at seaside resort is killing me, it's unrelated, but the big one just won't bite my line dammit.

Same here, Badtz Maru and TOPHAT are also very stutter-y for me when I'm diving. Hopefully they'll fix them soon.

As for the Sunfish, I had better luck fishing for them around Hopscotch Islands. They do NOT bite around the plaza even though I see them swimming around there all the time. I caught the huge one south of the Hopscotch Islands fast-travel point on the beach.

Glad I'm not the only one. I want to see the fluid swim animations in their glory. I like the little sanrio game ;;;;;

No, you're not the only one. I don't know if it's considered a stutter, but some friends that follow me either have choppy movement whenever I climb on specific areas or diving or they take too long to show up unless I move a bit first. Also one time, when I helping a friend, when she used a mailbox, retsuko was still in a floating animation, she flipped sideways.


As for the fish, I feel you, not only do some fish that I need to catch for my quests don't bite my line, but I keep getting the same fish that I don't want, causing me to scare them and wait even longer. Luckily, as you level up Badtz-Maru, the fish whisperer ability makes it easier and iirc, at level 17, there's 100% chance of catching any fish, and you don't need to use bait at all

Yeah I've seen quite a few friends go sideways in balloon mode. It's pretty funny tbh. I hope they fix it soon, I feel like it's a big bug ?? But I'm no developer. Just a little guy enjoyer.

I want to try getting all the fish types in the achievement menu. It'll be a long time, but 100%-ing this game would make me happy ! Thanks for more advice <3 :]]

No problem, I believe it’s a bug, since it’s not how they should behave, but hopefully they’ll fix it in the future.
