I can't get Dear Daniel's quest for 3 furniture peices to work

I've literally put ten things in this house, from plants to tables to chairs, nothing repeating. The quest is still telling me to put three pieces of furniture in the house. So I can't finish the quest. :/ (Yes the apple pie is in there :x)
