Should I get the deluxe edition?

No, don't bother, you won't get anything you paid for unless you spend at least 20-30h grinding, sadly I cannot refund anymore because wasted 2h trying to unlock my items to no avail.

nothing is new/exclusive, but you unlock the event items from previous years that wont be out till the next event so you get them a lot faster. you also get a bunch of crafting material, but not to an extent of cheating. you do have to play for a few hours to unlock the deluxe stuff, but its a fun incentive to play the game. im loving it, dont regret the deluxe. its just up to you if you want that :)

The Deluxe Edition includes 10 Friendship Flowers or Bouquets, 50 dyes of all colors, event furniture from the past year, and outfits for characters (you and the Hello Kitty friends). You will also immediately obtain event furniture required for visitors to arrive (such as Hug Heart furniture).

If you want to dress up the Hello Kitty friends without participating in events for a whole year in real life, you should purchase the Deluxe Edition. With the Deluxe Edition, you can take photos wearing matching outfits with Hello Kitty.

Deluxe edition is a good thing if you dont wish to wait "as long " to progress since the flowers they give you speed you through some friendships but i would watch guide on how to benefit from it the most

It is so worth it u can grind friendship sooner for visitors since u get free furnitures which would take u a really long time to get. The bonquets,flowers are just a bonus. Finally, yes it can be a cheat because u can just make a new save and use ur boquet on a friend island
