What kind of game is this?

Genuine question. My impression is its an Animal Crossing game with some kind action adventure spin ala Crash Bandicoot and the likes. Am I right or am I off the mark?

It's a mobile game but without microtransactions. You spend a short time picking up items, crafting some of them and give them to the islanders to level them up. After you are done with your daily task, you have to wait until tomorrow to do it again.
It's quite obvious that this was a mobile game. It's cute but that's about it.

if you liked acnh, stardew valley and sanrio i'm sure you'll enjoy this game. the only downside (in my opinion) is the fact that you're limited of what you can do daily. there's a lot of content and i think it's very cute and fun!

Its almost like animal crossing but so far ive noticed you are not designing the whole island . Think of a collection game where the goal is to adventure around grab loose items , craft things with those items for yourself as well as your friends on the island . They'll also be giving you tasks to complete for them which could include making a pie , fixing a train , etc . You also will get a home to design as well as other homes for your villagers to enjoy . Clothing customization is a thing where you can get daily items from shops (just like animal crossing) . Some things will have you wait for example after doing a quest hello kitty may ask you to talk to her tomorrow ( real life time ) to begin learning something new . Puzzle rooms as well that you can find around the map . This is just a small bit you'll find more to do as you play
