need help in fishing

how to use control for fishing? im using keyboard, used the A & D but didnt worked... kinda frustrated. need help and clarification.

Same here, I thought it was A and D but that didn't work for me either. Had to click the arrows with my mouse but that can get very difficult once harder fish come by. Took me over 5 tries to get the very first fish for the quest. I hope someone answers soon. Or we get a mini game toggle to turn off. I will try my controller too but it is not my preferred way to play on PC.

Possible bug because i don't have this problem, M&K user myself use mouse1 to hook, Then hold A or D to keep the arrow in the green, Release and repress as necessary or if holding isn't your style you can rapid press but less effective.

I'm gonna try it again, someone in discord said the same thing. I kept trying but the fish got away soooooo fast I had no time to fiddle.
Update: it worked pretty well with the controller...now to figure out how to dive with it, not mentioned in the controls and I pressed all buttons.
