The brilliant minds behind the game made it so is impossible to gift the deluxe edition for some reason, so you will have to purchase it on your own account, went through the same, but anyways I suggest you dont waste $60 on the deluxe edition, you don't actually get anything right away, you have to grind for like 30hours

not true. my boyfriend gifted me the deluxe edition some days ago.

yeah unless something changed since sunday you could only gift the base game, not the deluxe edition
