Is the fishing annoying?

I'm hoping for something like hooking the fish and you're done, not into waggles or stressful timings.

there's a bar that goes left and right once you hook the fish, think rail grinding in the tony hawk games
it's super slow and easy, though (i play with keyboard, i just click either left and right a couple times to keep the bar green)

I found it annoying on mobile, but some people like it I guess.

I just had the quest and thought initially oh this isnt bad but took me over 5 times to get the very first fish for the quest as A and D did nothing. Finally I thought, let me try clicking the arrows with my mouse and that worked but it is not easy at all especially for the very first fish...I can't imagine having to do that later on. A and D would be fine if it worked.
