Can you get deluxe items with the regular edition?

A friend gifted me the game and I love it. But I can't upgrade it to deluxe edition (to get the exclusive items, etc).

Is there a way to get these items? Or since I have the regular edition it's just impossible?

Items from the previous years' events will always be available again in some way during the following years' events. However, some may be difficult to obtain or require participating in an event more than one time.

Past event furniture can also be obtained by participating in Multiplayer and earning Friendship Bead Friendship Beads to trade with Keroppi Keroppi. Event clothing is not distributed outside of events, but most can be gifted after reaching Multiplayer Friendship level 13 with the other player.
