Watch Nintendo sue them for patent infringement.

It'd be incredibly bold if they did that after getting timed console exclusivity.

You mean after the collab in Animal Crossing??
Doubtful.

To be fair, it would be a good way of saying "you've crossed the line." I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to do that, if not for the timed exclusivity.

No! It is not really like Animal Crossing, I think it is more Zelda (old version)

It is the same genre as Animal Crossing but it doesn't feel like Animal Crossing when you play. It's a very linear game with less customisation. On the other hand you have more mini-games like time races or jumping "challenges". It feels much more like a mobile game when compared to Animal Crossing, in terms of overall complexitiy.

Sanrio is Japans sweetheart. It's unlikely Nintendo would dare to sue. Also, there is nothing to sue. Dressing up a character or furnishing a room is not something Animal Crossing invented.

Nintendo can't bleed Sanrio over patent trolling because hello kitty is the next biggest thing behind Pokemon, They literary made the patent in 2024 (fully) so they could stop Pocket pair from teaming up with sony their number one rival.
A extra note Japan take patents very serious, Nintendo pretty much own any 3d platformer from the patents shown online (in japan) they don't go after every game with patent trolling because it's Illegal to have a monopoly in japan.

No. Animal crossing is more of a life sim. This is more of a cutesy adventure type game with some decoration elements.
Not fully.

This game is way more grindy and comes from mobile Apple Arcade roots, where they did what they did with the game mechanics (dragging things out longer like hello kitty friendship on purpose being lowered to make friendship harder to gain so u had to wait longer real week of constant grinding every day to get features unlocked ) so one would play longer.

Again it's real time as well & unlike acnh u can't time travel, so unless you have a modded switch or a pc (and mods /cheats are made)
your gonna be spending a lot of time doing endless fetch quests & grinding resources ...
Better make time in your day to level up friendships if u don't you won't get far this game pushes & forces u to befriend everyone or u don't see a lot of features learned this the hard way play Apple Arcade..

Least acnh didn't lock features behind a forced NPC friendships, items yes not features..

There is so many fetch quests that just drag on & the real time part is terrible can't time travel which makes this game not fun...ACNH had fetch quests but they don't feel as grindy as this..

The villager NPC are just as boring as ACNH ones though they talk way to dang much on some parts..

There's more cute variety in items for house decorations & clothing..that's for sure.

Its cute I'll give it that,
better off with cheats & mods,
so im quite happy it's coming to PC & Switch where it can now get cheats & mods made.

It has more variety on locations underwater & biomes.
Though they may charge for things like that like the city location Apple Arcade has from a free update...
There's no farming or growing crops..
You can't decorate freely,
You only get a one room cabin last I played on Apple Arcade in ACNH u get a whole house to decorate...
It feels fomo mobile come on play long time the way things are situated & im sure that's gonna translate to pc/switch the same way..

Least acnh u could time travel to play as u liked.

You mean cause they had the audacity to sue Pal World after literal years of letting Digimon and more put out mon games without a single peep? I really hope Legal Eagle does an episode on this, Pal World's lawyers are going to have so much fun calling Nintendo out :wrycat:

Palworld removing the summoning features seems more like they're going to settle.

When sending out a Pal in your party, they always spawn next to you. You can't throw them at enemies or objects to have them start attacking.

I played this for months on apple arcade! It’s even better than animal crossing ❤️ I loved playing it but I couldn’t keep going with the subscription.
The current AC got me so bored. This instead, you have plenty of quests to do everyday, got a very big map to explore with different places! has some kind of story going on, the world around you evolves with you as you keep playing. I can’t spoil and this is pretty much everything I can say☺️ Friendships have levels and quests, you are not just talking randomly to the other villagers, you have to create a bond with them.

And no, it’s so different from Animal crossing. It’s a different gameplay, still in the simulating genre :)
Definitely not a farm game, but it’s a solid gameplay. When I started playing I was amazed how that little game on iphone was actually a very sturdy gaming experience!
And it’s so cute. :)
