Pompompurin not collecting stuff for me after update

I asked Pompompurin to get coconuts for me but they're still out everywhere and when I try to ask again he says no. The other characters seem to have picked up their stuff. Has this happened to anyone else?

I was finally able to confirm this today, I do not have this bug.
Pompompurin was asked to get the fizzy crystals, they displayed, my numbers went up.

It seems to no longer be an issue for me. Not sure if it was fixed or what, but I haven't had the problem since.

Did you have a quest that used Pompompurin at the time? I know if you have a quest available that uses a character, they can't follow you and I believe it's the same for item gathering. Just a theory!

I have the nul getting coconuts, but there are still coconuts on the ground everywhere after I've asked it. There are also coconuts in the box the next day. This is three times in a row now for me. So, maybe a bug with coconuts, but also kinda exploitable?
