Taking critters from Preserve?

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to take critters out of nature preserves. I don't want it to be too cluttered and would like to take some out but don't know how to if you can do that.

Id love to know if this is a thing as well. TBH the reserve is kinda ugly, the only space that works with the system they have is the ocean area. Its boring just having the critters run all over the place nonstop. We should have been given a reserve closer to animal crossing, with areas that highlight the critters special features or habitat--- that we can pose and take pictures with!
And the fact that we cant donate fish to the reserve is just- ugh...

Yeah i wish we could have a place to store the fish, using the small aquariums are just too expensive to build with how many fish there are in the game. It would also be nice to pet the critters so they aren't just there for showcase.
