Is the DLC worth it?
Please no trolls, I am pretty much set on getting the game from GMG for $40. Just want to know if the extra $11 is worth it.

Personally i dont feel the DLC is worth it. Also felt I had more fun in the non DLC islands. Finally armor feels more of aesthetical than practical.

Its more of the case of "Git Gud Son Roll Dammit Roll".

They are fun but prices are too steep for it's contents:sweat:

Fog Island surely is. Maybe Isle of Thieves too. Adventurer's Garb is not.

They're negligible honestly, it was just a little sugar coating to get more preorders, I wouldn't buy them if I had to pay for them separatedly if I were in you, but as a bonus for your purchase they're kinda fun, fog island has some nice mindgames around there and the thieves island has stealth missions just like a little gnome would do.

It's worth it. I enjoyed both Fog Island and Isle of Thieves. They don't really cost that much.

That said, I have to say I'm disappointed that they are not included in the standard steam version. I got a retail version AFTER release and it's a "first edition" that contains the DLCs.

The whole preorder DLC nonsense has to stop. Well, actually it probably won't.

I liked Fog Island. Isle of thieves is a little too short, but still some funny quests if you like gnomes. You can skip the armor. It looks nice but I hated how powerful it was. It made it so that I didn't want to buy any gear as all the shop stuff was weak, so I didn't change my look until I got the faction armors.

So glad someone else thinks the same thing. One of my biggest pet peeves is DLC that completely breaks the normal progression/reward scale.

Plus I wish the clothes in Risen 3 had stat boosts like they did in Risen 2. Wearing white pants and silk shirts actually had a point when you wanted to be a silver tongued fancy lad. Or you could be the man in black and threaten everybody. When I got my posh blue Messenger Coat in Risen 2, I loved it. Now all the gear you can buy is pretty bland and weak.

Do not buy the Adventurer's Garb. You get a better looking version of the same outfit with exactly the same stats for free just by following the main storyline.

@karmavirus: Some of clothing items are in Risen 3 too. Definately found the white silk shirt with the Silver Tongue bonus

All it really does is make your faction armor less of an upgrade.

Definitely no reason to buy that DLC. The islands on the other hand are cool.
