Why do people watch guys like Angry Joe?

I just saw some of these threads and decided to alt-tab and watch a little bit of his video.

All he does, from the get-go is suck and whine. Who says the beginning tutorial cinematic where you have 0.001% of the game's combat abilities/skills is the best it ever gets?

Did this guy ever do anything cool? Are some of his videos funny? Link?

For it to be fake there would need to be a review to start with. That video are just his own personal thoughts on his first time playing. He's not advertising it as anything but his own personal opinion on his first experience.

A lot of his reviews are positive. Some of us find it hilarious he calls himself angry joe yet he's hardly ever angry. Needs to rename himself to "most of the time i'm happy but sometimes I put on a whiny voice .... Joe".

personal tastes? no it's from history.
especially, that was what TES focused.
at TES 1 most important part of wondering town is about finding clue of what should I do.
same for TES2, you have to find every clue for every automatically created quests.
and for TES3, there are tons of clues what should I do and what happend before and those are important part to beat the game.
even TES4 and 5 killed this aspect as a game, they still use that theme.
why you have to follow arrow?(called quest marker)
because following arrow will fill your auto journal with clues.
but there are no aspect of game in this chore.

Yes, I agree that Torment is still an RPG. I also disagree that Oblivion and Skyrim are not RPGs. They are all RPGs. You may not like every RPG in the world but that doesn't stop them being RPGs. You do not have that power.

The combat system could be better, but Angryjoe was not showing its true capabilities. It is nowhere near as terrible as he made it look, and if it really was that hard for him, he should have gone to another island, meaning the pirates base, which is the first place the main quest suggests you should go. Of course one of the main things about this game is the ability to choose when to do things and where to go, but don't whine when you're fighting enemies that are too tough, it's your own fault for trying to kill a rhino with a crab stabber.

Uh, I will keep playinh Skyrim because it is actually a good game. Following that I will play Divinity Original Sin..because it is a GREAT RPG.

Stop defending Pirana Bytes..their games are horrible. I enjoyed the Gothic Series, and I enjoyed Risen 1..but since Risen 2..I don't know what is going on. Instead of the games getting better, they've gotten worse, in my opinion.

I find it amusing that you have an avatar from Torment..so therefore you just assume you are some awesome, definitive RPGamer and because I play Skyrim..I am not. Quite hilarious. I grew up with Black Isle RPG's (and a lot of games before it) and am a huge fan. I'm able to like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment, Fallout, Dragon Age and yeah, Skyrim. In fact, I can like whatever various types of RPGs that I want. It doesn't make me a bad RPGamer..

There are a large variety of RPG's and because I play Skyrim doesn't discredit my opinion on a game. Yea you don't have to agree with it, but don't act like a righteous jerk becaues you disagree.

To me, Risen 2 and 3 are pretty bad games. Unpolished with extremely boring combat. And yeah, I will admit Skyrim's vanilla combat is pretty bland..but the modding potential is at least there and I don't mind spending hours and hours playing that game over a piece of crap game like Risen 2 or 3.

you guys are crazy if you think the combat in this series of games works - the whole series, along with gothic and others is messed. the combat is broken and its intentially made like that, with the combat being incredibly hard at the beginining. Ive been playing games for 30 years, you need to step away and take a little perspective here. outside of the combat the animations, voice acting and overal gameplay need a lot of work. i understand they are not north american developers so english is probably not their first language but when you sell a game in this market, this hemisphere, you'll be judged as such. thats why these games are always more sucessful in europe

It's true. The animations are HORRIBLE. The voice acting is cringe worthy and yeah, the gameplay is poor.

I'd much rather play something like Drakensang or something. Smaller developer yet a much more polished game experience.

Funny that you are attacking me just because I said skyrim's Rpg elements are broken(or it's not rpg that mean it's rpg elements are broken).
but many people even who don't played Risen 3 are talking about Risen3 is "garbage as game" because combat is bad. that is like I saying skyrim is totally trash becasue it's rpg elements is totally broken but it's not same as skyrim is bad rpg(but still good sandbox game).
I'm not said skyrim is totally trash as a"game" but totally broken as a "rpg".
