What is the crystal pack?

Are the pluses worth obtaining - i.e I think this only offers ship library and josh.

Actually it does, you have too scroll past the reviews. Where it says Dungeon of the Endless, underneath there is an image describing the two packs, click on read more and you will see the full description.
With the "new" steam community stuf, the store screen has been loaded so full of stuff, it is easy to miss information.

The interesting bits are the extra ship (game mode) and extra hero

Pretty sure it's already on the store page but :

Gameplay wise : - A new ship to unlock
- One specific hero (a doctor who wannabe)

Original soundtrack and exclusives units for another of there game Endless Space.

Even more cofnusing (to me) is if I buy the emperor version of endless engine then I get the crystal pack for dungeon of the endless ??? Is that correct ?

I got the founders pack, does the founders pack include crystal? Doesn't say so in my dlc tab

Nope. The Amplitude Endless Pack includes Dungeon of the Endless - Crystal pack. The regular Emperor Edition does not.

It looks like the ship and character offered from the emperor pack for Endless Legend are different than the ones obtained in the crystal pack for Dungeon of the Endless. The crystal pack gives Josh 'Ntello as the character and "The Library" ship, while the emperor pack gives Kreyang (Drakken) as the character and "The Refreezerator" ship.
