Can't save multiplayer + can't join mid game = real ♥♥♥♥ty multiplayer experience
if youre a co-op gamer like I am you probably already know all about why saving and rejoining are staples to any good co-op experience, but I'm just going to make a short list and hopefully remind the devs why it's a really ♥♥♥♥ idea to leave out saving and mid joining from multiplayer.

-games can sometimes last hours. what if somebody has to go? oh well game is lost forever lol restart ♥♥♥♥♥.

-what if somebodys internet gets disconnected, or if steam goes offline for a second? oh well game is lost forever lol restart ♥♥♥♥♥.

-what if another friend want to join and youre already playing? oh well game is lost forever lol restart ♥♥♥♥♥.

those things alone make multiplayer almost not even worth playing at all. did you know, most gamers like to be able to complete games? well that becomes almost impossible in multiplayer because of the simple lack of saves and mid game joins.

♥♥♥♥IN FIX ET YA ♥♥♥♥♥. please.

edit: I will give Amplitude some credit here and say the multiplayer is just fine... so long as you have 3 - 6 hours of free time to use all at once and have internet that will never drop... oh and friends with the same >_>

Totally agree, multiplayer game in co-op should have at least reconnect and save feature, not all people can play 3-6 hours in one session. Incoming features like trade and private lobbies not so important, when multiplayer almost unplayable.
Seeing how this makes alot of sense. When playing Multiplayer games in Co-op this should be added as a fail safe just in case either the game disconnects one someone losing all the progress OR the game just simply crashes and lately I've been seeing a couple of games doing that.

Indeed. Private lobbies would be good, but you can already kick people out so it's not a necessity. and you can already trade items by selling them to the merchant. Compared to having all your progress erased at floor 11 because your friend had an internet hiccup, those issues are nothing.

Totally agree, me and a friend just lost a good 2 hours of progress all because I dropped in between levels! Fix this asap!

We've played a 3man session yesterday. 2 hours and 30 minutes into the game our friend got dropped when his game bugged out while opening new door.

If there was a reconnect opion we could have salvaged the game but since there's nothing like that we had to abadon 2h30m of progress.

Even Save option would have been ok since we could save, quit and restart the game with our friend from saved position.

Coop is really fun to play and I would risk a statement that it's even better than singleplayer experience in Dugeon but it really needs at least one of mentioned features to be playable.

I don't play multiplayer because of this. We tried two times with my friend and we didn't finish the games because we had some connection problem.

I'm not saying the game is bad, just that multiplayer needs some fixing

I posted about this yesterday. The save and rejoin features are hopefully their top priority, they are kiling the multiplayer game right now. Specially as the game dies if your steam drops, which it does so often its no funny.

The co-op experience is in most peoples view better than single player and will be a huge selling point for the game going forward once these things are added.

I don't know how much time they need to add these options. I bought the game with a friend, and obviously the mp was broken at the release and is still broken. So yeah, no mp possible atm.

Hello everyone!

We are currently working on the multiplayer stability, and I insist on the fact that this our top priority.

As we said in the announcement for the the First Aid Kit Update:

The multiplayer issues require a lot of testing

We also understood that the possibility to save a multiplayer game is wanted by the community but as I said, focus on the stability first.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
