anyone know where to tweak the hero selection list?

I have a simple goal... to play as Ayairi Whairydd, but I cant find hero selection list in any of the public folders... nor can i find our what her hero number is, aparently instead of names there numbered...

Has anyone figure this out yet?

and yes, I am aware numbers are more conveniant to code with instead of long names, but without the cheat sheet to what each number is, kindof at a standstill...

The dog is designed to show up only as a random starting hero; set one or both slots to random and keep starting until you get it.

(( first step might not be needed:
Make a backup of your DotE folder found in My Documents (\Documents\Dungeon of the Endless). Then disable the cloud in steam and delete the folder. ))

Go to your Steam install directory for the game and find the file Gameconfig.xml and make a backup of this file
( \Steam\steamapps\common\Dungeon of the Endless\Public\Configuration )
Open this file (I prefer wordpad for this)

Search for this string:
InitUnlockedHeroes
And delete all entries safe for
InitUnlockedHero Hero_H0019 /InitUnlockedHero (I removed the > and < brackets to make sure the post doesn't format it wrong

Go to the list of heroes on the wiki:

Find the code for the other hero you want to start the game with and type the respective line to unlock them (I added the hero codes underneath the stats tables on each hero page)

Start the game and you should only have one hero in the selection. Select that one and random. There is a minor chance you could get the same hero twice but it should not happen. You should get the hero and the pug.

Save the game. Replace the gameconfig file with the proper one.
You could also return the backed up copies of registry and profile from the documents folder so you return your unlocks and stuff.

they should just allow you to gain the pug after winning a runthrough with it. a lot of people in multiplayer go random character to get the pug, instead of picking heroes that are better for team composition (no operators? no crystal runners?)
