It grows in real time. And, if given enough time turns into one tought bastart to handle.
The sooner you can kill it, the easyer it is to kill. Early on a solo hero can slay it without any serious health loss. Later on a whole 4-man team might need healing to take one down.
You may also want to know about the "rhinos" alert too, but since you didn't ask about them I'll not spoil the potentialy lethal surprise.
Oh, and btw, unless I'm missing something, smashing on floor is just it's attack animation, it's not actually doing anyhting to damage the "floor".
The only thing not in your reply is the fact that the Keeper (name of the enemy) also buffs other enemies on the floor and reduces dust loot chance while it is alive.
I think the rhino thing is opening the doors, right? Like, if I don't kill all the enemies, it'll open the doors for me?
It will damage itself every time it attacks a door, so after a certain number of doors it will die.
