but crystal edition = 1 char + 1 escapepod
if you want a cheaper one
buy the DLC deep freeze = 1 char + 1 escapepod as well
but it looks like the character from the crystal edition is better
Kreyang isn't bad, it's just Josh is an amazing operator. Winter Just Came is a fairly strong skill, not to mention Hold The Line or Endless Expert. She also functions as a decent Operator who can defend a chokepoint, especially with Defender of the Past active.
Under the section called "About Game Editions"
I can't see that in the store page for the game (http://store.steampowered.com/app/249050/) or the Complete Edition bundle (http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/1803/)
I own the Crystal Edition of the game and still have difficulty finding this information.
...
Okay, if you scroll down on the store page, below the DLC and Recent Updates is a short section called Reviews. Not the Customer (User) Reviews at the bottom, this Reviews section is where they publish quotes from industry/critic reviews. Immediately below this is the section in question, confusingly titled "Special Edition". This is broken into two sections, "Pixel Edition" and "Crystal Edition". To add to the confusion, they have abandoned the heading structure for each of these subheadings and instead used a column-width image, not on its own, but as part of a matrix of images.
This appears to show that the Pixel Edition is the base game and the Crystal Edition gives you one extra hero to choose from (Josh 'Ntello) as well as an extra spaceship: “The Library” pod, which unlocks a new mode for the game.
