what the hell has crystal edition?

Also wanting to know what the Crystal Edition is.
I'm assuming it's just the game with all the DLC?

Hey Jon, Crystal Edition has adds a new Pod( new gameplay mod) and a new Char. Other than that no, not all DLC, also if you look on the Store Page, it explains what Crystal Edition has.

as far as I know, you lose a ship and a hero, it does not include all DLC

On the store page if you clcik on the read me drop down there is a flier with the differences between the versions. If you like the game I suggest getting it and all dlc.

Also make sure you click on install free dlc to add it to your account.

Oh thanks, there it is, I checked a bunch but didn't see that particular part of the page.
And I see that one of the achievements requires one of the Crystal exclusive things... smart move on their part to get me to spend money, but annoying none the less, haha.

It is a little weird imo having the Pixel and Crystal Editions + DLC. I don't really understand gating a ship and character like that, especially considering the "upgrade" is like what, $8 or something when it's not sale time?

That being said, you can currently get the Crystal Edition and both paid DLCs for less than $10 right now, and I'm sure that trend will continue with future sales. Even if it added up to $10, that would be a great deal on this game, imo.

It's one of those things that feels meant for sales... like how Payday 2 and Killing Floor have woefully overpriced weapon packs, but you can pick them up for around a dollar each sale.
