strange forest?

ive found a stange forest and decided that the only logical thing to do was go in it and after i did all it would let me do with the interactions i exited with only a bruise (Thank god for DMC armour) but now that i left it i want to go back in but it only allows me to use botany and leave the forest what can i do now with this forest

i killed the merga wrath!!! let get 5 meter away and unloaded it ended up dying before the third shot and the interaction after is awsome

Nope, not neccesary as far as I know. It's like Zoom Zoom's, the Isotope Mine or the Hidden Lake, you need luck to make it happen.

To be more specific about this, there's a limited number of locations (one or two, iirc) with active events each playthourgh. For example, my last playtrough had only the strange forest I think. Isotope mine, Zom Zom's etc didn't have the extended encounters.

There is no limit to the extended encounters per playthrough. You can get none or all, or everything in between.

To clarify - There can be only one (TM) extended encounter per game, so if you met Bob, don't expect to see the Lady as well. In the recent build, however, the encounter with mister Stoat at Zom Zom's have been... promoted (from the lack of the better word) to "always there (if the conditions are right)" kind of situation.

Really? I'm pretty sure i had several extended encounters in a single game (Hidden Lake and Lady). But maybe I have already played too many games and my memory starts to blur...

Happens. Sometimes I'm not sure if I've been robbed, or I had all those precious items stored at my based in a different life.

True. This game feels a little bit like the book "All you need is kill". You die, and wake up at the Cryo Facility only to die again and so on...

To clarify the clarification - Hidden Lake Strangler is not an "extended" kind of scenario. It does need certain special circumstances to happen, but is not randomly available - it is always possible.

My most hilarious encounter was at Zom Zom's one character. Just for chuckles, he tried to rub the mark off his arm. He was caught, and the last thing he saw was a giant oven he was being pushed into.

This can happen everytime you enter Zoom Zoom's with the "?" or "Stock" option. If you try to cheat your way out of it by rubbing of the stamp, your character will die.
