Help with 3440x1440 diisplay issue needed.
Please see the screenshot below. In the lower left hand corner, when playing in 3440x1440, I get this permanently placed, partially cut off timer in the lower left. I cannot get this to disapper. In other resolutions, it does not appear, only in 3440x1440. However, the other resolutions are terrible and unplayable on my 21:9 monitor, everything is stretched or cut off.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get ride of the timer in the lower left? It's driving me insane!

Finally, someone passed the sneaky little reading comprehension test I hid in my initial post.

I found this post online about a fix for the issue but can't figure out how to implement these files. https://www.reddit.com/r/widescreengamingforum/comments/11njxf6/the_saboteur_flawless_widescreen_plugin_for_fov/

Hi all :)

1. stop the program "Flawless Widescreen"

2. download and unzip the file. You will find two folders: "PluginCache" and "Plugins". There are files in both folders, but it doesn't matter.

3. search for the default folder of "Flawless Widescreen" >>> %YOUR DRIVE NAME%:\Program Files (x86)\Flawless Widescreen <<<

4. copy the two folders directly into the root folder. It will ask you twice if you want to replace the files in the target, which you answer with Yes. It will not delete any existing files!

5. start "Flawless Widescreen" and you will see "Sune Plugins" on the left and the game "TheSaboteur" below.

The rest will be self-explanatory, hope I could help. :)

Unfortunately, the FOV is still too small for me personally.

Nothing wrong in the left, seek out a shrink

For the actual topic. I have given a hint in another post how the resolution can be changed.

But I think you have already done this. I have a resolution of 5760x1200, it shows everything correctly, but the FOV is too small for me.

I got the same issue man. Very annoying. Other than that, it works flawlessly on my Ultrawide

I'm surprised ultrawide works at all.

That's something I wanted to fix in Fusion Fix, but never got around to it. Are there any other notable issues in ultra wide beside this one?

None other problem, at least for me.

I really appreciate the FOV fix and looking forward for any kind of solution for this problem.

Can you tell more in what context this timer is used, and where in the game?

I think is only used one time through all the game. In the first race is necessary to beat the timer to have access to other races.

In this video you can see how is to look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmwS9AWc4L8

There won't be a fix for this since this is an UI element that has been moved "off screen" in regards to typical screens back in 2009. Notice how the cinematic bars are cut off on the sides for wide screen? That is because the actual graphic that makes up those bars is not wide enough. The racing ui element you can see on the left right side is the result of wide screens not being a concideration back in the day the game was made. It was an easy "solution" to move those kinds of elements just a few hundred pixels to the side so you can move them in when you need them. You will see a lot of this in older games where this wide range of aspect ratios and pixel variants where uncommon.

I am glad some people like my FOV fix for FWS.
I did play the hole game (again) in 5120x1440 without problems.
