We did a presentation at the recent Game Developers Conference covering the design (and planning) aspect of Saturnalia's development. You can watch it for free here:

Hello everyone!

We're happy to announce that Saturnalia is now playable in an additional language – Simplified Chinese.

The translation has been executed with love and dedication to be as close as possible to the original material. The translator is Albert "Windyshine" Chen, who also translated our other games Milky Way Prince – The Vampire Star and Mediterranea Inferno,

Game crashes constantly on macOS

Not sure why but this game crashes constantly and randomly on macOS, I can't even get through the main menus to start the game without it crashing to desktop. Usually it crashes during one of the splash logos or loading screens. Help?

Heads-up: Negative mouse acceleration

I tried adjusting every camera setting, but nothing affects the negative mouse acceleration. It just feels really bad. This means that if you try turning quickly, the turn slows down rapidly (e.g., 5cm of mouse movement for 30 degrees, but 10cm of mouse movement only moves 45 degrees -- that's not a measurement for this game, but that's the dynamic). Devs, if you address this, please let me know so I can rebuy the game because it seems cool otherwise!

Moving character blocking movments

When I play I move at first person view and most of time the character just stop moving forward for 25 seconds and unblock moving after. Short freeze going forward or backward.

Saturnalia darkness softlock

I am playing Saturnalia on Epic Games Store where it was free way back when. I am nearly at the end of the game where I stumbled upon a softlock/game breaking bug. I lost Paul, due to RNG (the creature kidnapped him and killed him) and wanting to get the best possible ending, I reshuffled the village, but not before I went down into the mines and did some clues hunting in there. After I was done I reshuffled, while standing in the darkness, and it carried over to everywhere above ground, save for a few lig...

The town's spooky vibe, which keeps getting creepier with each secret uncovered, is undoubtedly a standout feature in Saturnalia. I wish we could spend more time exploring during the day to connect better with the main characters and get to feel the day-night contrast. While I enjoyed the different character perspectives, a deeper dive into their backgrounds would definitely add more depth. Reading their thoughts and feelings as we progress was the most intriguing part for me – too bad it was so scarce. This game has a lot of potential, and with some more work, it could truly become a masterpiece.
