This guy's a really cool dev.

When I first got the game and was struggling, he played with me for about an hour to teach me some things.

After some hiatus, I've heard he's adding further content.

I'm excited to eat his hat.

Track pads have been consistently bad on both units (bought years apart), but only if I let the controllers fall asleep and try to use them again after several minutes (eg if you're on desktop, watch a movie, controller goes to sleep: wake it up, track pads are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for a full minute). Since I most often use the controller on my desktop this is just not acceptable. I wouldn't put up with a mouse that wouldn't work for a full minute after falling asleep :)

Hi friend, thanks for the tip! I've had two steam controllers for years. They're not bad controllers for what they are, but the biggest reason I haven't (and won't) use them much is the lack of a good d-pad. You lose way too much fine control playing 2D games with a thumbstick.

Steam controller works fine with non steam games FYI, you just have to add them as shortcuts to steam and it even still allows community configs, got bf1, bf4, and battlefront 2 running. Also mapped Steam Chords for a Desktop hotkey (Windows+D), toggle between monitor and TV (Windows+P), and open task manager, (Ctrl+Shift+Esc). Trust me, it's better than any controller you just need to invest time in it to get the full reward, unlike traditional ones, give it more time. Although I haven't had issue with track pads, that actually might be defect or something set wrong if you got that recently.
