Same issue here. CoreDuoE6300@1.86GHz, ATI HD5670 (neither exactly new, but both above min-requirements). The game runs like crap even with everything set to Low. Visuals are three seconds behind input and the game runs essentially in slow motion. Completely unplayable.

32bit Vista. But I solved the problem now. I deinstalled PhysX, installed a new one from Nvidia, reboote a few tmes, killed all background processes before starting the game and started the game manually and not through Origin (don't have the Steam version).

It runs fine now. Not sure which of my actions caused it to not run slow.

I play on an i5 650 and ATI HD5670 (slightly overclocked) and it runs perfectly maxed out options. @Vossen, I believe 512vram is not enough for max out graphics, try removing the antisoptic filter and lower the texture details. Also, reinstalling the PhysX (as @grumbel said) might actually help. Oh, and yes, of course kill any processes you don't need, save some RAM.

Just you. Runs fine on my quad core.

So what? -_\ Mine is quad too. This is not about quantity of cores.

It should be, I have eight! Bam! I win!

But anyway, I fixed it for me by turning off AA and maybe the graphic settings. The PhsyX thing I've read about, I but didn't have any issue with that part.

Turning off FXAA and Antiscoping should help, a friend runs the game at 800x400 but the quality in high at 25-33 FPS with 230MB of VRAM So try disable those options Hope ti helped ^^

this game runs perfectly fine. AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz, 16GB DDR3 Ram, Nvidia GTX570

Some kinda optimization problem. i5-2310 @ 2,9 ghz, 8 GB DDR3 Kingmax RAM, MSi HD6850, Win 8.1 64-bit on 900p maximum settings the game is running about 40-45 fps average, it should run with at least 60 fps

Im having a problem too (Origin) game runs at 45FPS on high at 1080p on I5- 4590 @ 3.6Ghz, GTX 770 2GB and 8gb of ram.

If all else is set up right like drivers & resolution then it may be the sound setting. Disabling 3D enhancements / surround effects in the playback property tab usually improves performance on some games.

I got about 60fps with a single car on track with these settings:

Game resolution (78) 1280x720 @ 60Hz, AA = 4x
(monitor max 1920x1080, desktop res set at 1366x768)
V-sync = ON, full-screen
Anistropic filtering = 8x
Car detail = high
Shadow detail = low
Track detail = low
Motion blur = medium
Texture resolution = high

CPU: i7-2630QM,
RAM: 4GB x 2 DDR3 1333MHz,
dual GPU: Intel HD3000 with Radeon HD 6770m 1GB DDR5

Between full-screen & windowed, fs yield higher fps for this game. Some games run faster in windowed mode.

Here is another one with included graphics settings;

I set all settings to max, and it ran so smooth with a single car race, but during a race, not so good. Odd.

CPU: AMD 8350 8 Core
RAM: 16GBx4 4GB DDR3 1600MHz G-Skill
Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 4GB GDDR5
