Unable to Save Profile
Hey Folks, ever since the upgrade to Windows 10, I get a message "unable to save profile" message with NFS Shift. Anybody else have this problem. I tried uninstalling the game, and re-installing it (that worked with GRID and GRID 2 - which failed to properly launch), but no luck here with NFS Shift.
Please Note: Going the MENU options SAVE/LOAD - Autosave is Turned ON, trying to change it only results in the message "Unable to Save Profile, Autosave is disabled" Which is the same message I get finishing an event, or changing ANY option.
Thanks!

This happens to a lot of games, not just Shift, something changed places.

In the case of NFS Shift and W7, your profile in normally here:
\users\<username>\Documents\NFS SHIFT\
with subfolders named after each profile you have.

So, go dig up those folders (whereever the upgrade left them) and transplant them back to where Shift is looking for them. Being a EA game + ported from console, i dont trust them to follow standards, they likely hardwired it.
And check ownership and write access on them while you are at it. Just in case. Upgrades can be very wonky.

Thanks Tydo, I found that Running Steam as an Adminstrator (right clicking and choosing that option - then launching NFS Shift) FIXED the problem. I had to do the same thing just to get AC to launch.
i m not sure to understand what to do ?

where do i need to put the file to get my profile saving agin.

sorry for my bad english :pandastunned:

1. Lauch Steam "as an Administrator", right click on the Steam shortcut, and click "run as Administrator"
2. Then Click on the Windows Start Button, File Explorer and Click through the folders:
This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Need for Speed Shift
3. Right click the SHIFT icon, and again run as adminstrator
(to make things easier in the future, create a shortcut for SHIFT)
Good Luck!
