For anyone else who is noticing that certain cars just don't load, please use the OP's new batch file. It fixes these cars:
Team Racing DLC Pack:
- Toyota Supra Mk IV
- 1967 Shelby GT500
- 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
- 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
- 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
(this also fixes all game crashes related to these files not having been properly unpacked by the original script)
Happy to help. :)
first I want to thank you for the link, too.
But I don´t know, what to do with that text-file that I got there.
The game runs after unpacking it and over the -loose-exe, but the cars @blewberry mentioned are not showing up and if I choose them I get a ctd. And I think your file would be a fix if I´m able to use it.
I´m new in modding NFS-games and only experienced in modding Bethesda games.
Would really be thankful for a explanation.
Please try to follow this guide, with wabbit's updated script. That's what did it for me and seems to be "the way" to get this properly modded.

Good luck!
I made a bat-file of it and tried it again (on a clean install) and the new shortcut failed from the beginning with application error.
Now I´m a little pissed because after several hours of installing, unpacking and so on I´ve done enough and didn´t even play for about 2h.
First It had worked till the first race on Spa were I got my first black screen.
I think it´s on me and my system I don´t get it to work properly so I play the vanilla version after a little time has passed.
The same rig I use for heavy modded Skyrim and Fallout 4 without any issues.
It seems the biggest problem to not get it to work sits in front of the rig. So be it.
If you are following the guide linked above and still having issues, even with this batch file, I'm afraid my ability to assist has hit its limit. Perhaps wabbit or some one else could help you further. Reddit, or the NSF forums, or someone on the discord server (which I read has 400+ people in it at any given time) can help.
Good luck!
It´s just curious that I only wanted to get my racing wheel going on this game. It´s an old Logitech that was build for GT 5 on PS3. It´s nearly impossible to find a working driver for PC. I didn´t know till then that you can also mod NFS games and tried it mostly because of the Overhaul Mod. On vanilla I have to play with Xbox One pad, not bad but if you have a wheel...

Click the download button on the pastebin page I linked and rename the .txt file that downloads to game_unpack.bat
Now you can replace the game_unpack.bat that comes with the unpacker with the new one you have just created and follow the instructions in the NFSShift_unpack_readme.txt
If you read my post #6 you will see that I´ve done exactly that. And I used the same unpacker.
But it´s ok, there are ather racing games out there.
And it was worth a try because I liked the game by the time.
I unpacked Shift w/ the above .bat file, with the game folder & its contents having "read-only" unchecked, but when I run the game it crashes after I select a profile. Is there a step I'm missing?
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - IT WORKED - THANK YOU SO MUCH
