General Fixes and Tips for Kingdoms Rise:

INPUT ISSUES:

bEnableMouseSmoothing=true
to
bEnableMouseSmoothing=false

in UDKInput

In: (YOurDriverHere):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\KingdomsRise\UDKGame\Config

If you want to Invert mouse controls, open the Console with "~" and type "InvertMouse" then hit enter. It will invert. It's weird for me though.

------------------------------------------

ENHANCED GRAPHICS:

To get rid of Blur / Sharpen the game (This is down to preference)

X(Your Drive here):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\KingdomsRise\UDKGame\Config

UDKSystemSettings

MotionBlur=False
DepthOfField=False
MaxAnisotropy=16
DetailMode=5

Alot better.

However, performance will take a noticable hit...try Detailmode 3 if your FPS suffers to much.

------------------------------------

Here is what my config looks like, for best:

StaticDecals=True
DynamicDecals=True
UnbatchedDecals=True
DecalCullDistanceScale=1.0
DynamicShadows=True
LightEnvironmentShadows=True
MotionBlur=False
DepthOfField=False
AmbientOcclusion=True
Bloom=True
bAllowLightShafts=True
Distortion=True
DropParticleDistortion=False
LensFlares=True
AllowRadialBlur=True
bAllowSeparateTranslucency=False
bAllowPostprocessMLAA=False
bAllowHighQualityMaterials=True
SkeletalMeshLODBias=0
DetailMode=5
MaxDrawDistanceScale=1.2
MaxAnisotropy=16
MaxShadowResolution=1024 (Can go to 4096, but very performance intensive)
MaxWholeSceneDominantShadowResolution=1024 (If you change to 4096 above, change here as well)
ResX=2560 (Replace with your resolution)
ResY=1440 (Replace with your Resolution)
ScreenPercentage=100.000000
ShadowTexelsPerPixel=4.0
bAllowWholeSceneDominantShadows=True
bUseConservativeShadowBounds=False
bAllowFracturedDamage=True
FractureCullDistanceScale=2.0
MobileGlobalGammaCorrection=False
MobileAllowGammaCorrectionWorldOverride=True

For the best graphics - NOTE: This does not include AA.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FIELD OF VIEW:
The current Field of View slider doen't really work.

But typing "FOV 105" in the Console, accessed with "~" will change it for that map only - it resets every map. I haven't been able to find configuration file to change this, the FOVAngle=90 in the Game Settings is not related. You can replace 105 with whatever you want.

90 is fine for 4:3, 100 is good for 16:10, and 105-110 is preferred for 16:9

FOV COMPARISON:

DEFAULT FOV:

FIXED FOV (105, 16:9)

NVIDIA SLI SUPPORT:

At current, there is no official UDK SLI profile, however, these settings work best for me, using 90%+ Of my GPUS and doubling my FPS. From 62-68 to 128-150.

Download NVIDIA Inspector and go to the UDK Profile. Add the UDK.exe for Kindgoms Rise located in:

\Steam\SteamApps\common\KingdomsRise\Binaries\Win32

SLI Compatibility bits: 0x02406405
SLI Settings: AFR2 Mode, SLI GPU Autoselect, Predfined GPU count 4, hit Apply and enjoy

------------------------------

I figured I'd post all the stuff from my multiple threads into one. Maybe try to get this stickied.

Thx a lot, now I'll have normal FOV, not fish )))
Nuky Nov 20, 2013 @ 12:46am
Some screen shots of both normal and enhanced graphics would be appreciated.

It'd kinda be a pain to do a comparison of that...but anyone who has actually played...just look at the two I posted, versus what you normally see.

Make notice of how everything isn't blurry as hell with all the DoF / Motion Blur.

I do hate motion blur, so it might be desirable to alter it in that case.
Flash Nov 20, 2013 @ 2:14am
I can recommend turning off Ambient Occlusion if you don't like being blinded.
Master Segway Nov 20, 2013 @ 2:39am
Ambient Occlusion and Bloom are also usually bad for performance, so it wouldn't hurt trying to turn them off.
Mkilbride Nov 20, 2013 @ 3:21am
Yeah, but I wasn't really looking to downgrade the graphics. Upgrade them, surely.

Squizzo Nov 20, 2013 @ 2:34pm
is it possible to enable invert mouse looking?
Master Segway Nov 20, 2013 @ 2:39pm
There is a console command called inverseMouse, so I imagine there's a setting somewhere.
Mkilbride Nov 20, 2013 @ 6:33pm
Added notes on how to invert Mouse Controls.
Reapy Nov 20, 2013 @ 7:45pm
The invert mouse controls does not invert the block direction, only attack/view.
