EA has removed it from the Steam Store and it isn't on Origin either. I believe it had something to do with the Gamespy servers being shut down.

Well it's a mainly multiplayer game, despite having some brilliant singleplayer mods. When the gamespy servers shut down EA didn't see the profit in starting up their own servers for a game that was that old. I assume they would have had the player numbers available to them.

but even then it seems like there is no reason to remove it. I'd play single player if I had it

I was actually looking forward for this game. The best fps I played when it came out. What a shame. Guess gotta buy it used somewhere see if the local thrift may have them or amazon :/
