How to use 64 map with coop?

I used to play this game in the early days it came out and played it for years. Now with my kids wanting to play, I repurchased the game 3x for us all. Now we play it on coop mode with bots, but it only has 16 player maps. I would love to play it in coop with 32 or 64 maps. Is this possible? I checked the Internet and couldnt find it.

There is an old mod (BF2SP64) that would unlock 64 players, but I installed it last night and kept crashing my PC so I finally had to uninstall the mod and BF2 then reinstall BF2 in order to play the game at all.....

I did look some more looking and found www.battlefieldsingleplayer.com that has all sorts of mods and maps for those of us who would rather play singleplayer. I downloaded AIX 2.0 (Allied Intent Extened 2) along with its map pack (very big download - over 1 gb). It looks like you can select 64 players for the singleplayer maps, but I have not yet installed or tried the mod. I will report again after doing so.

they dont have anything to open up the maps.

I believe you go here https://www.moddb.com/mods/bf2-ultimate-coop download everything. Then make a folder inside the mod folder and name it Ultimate Coop and run everything into that folder. Then when done you can go into community then custom games and run the mod from there. Tho I think you are only going to have 2 maps opened up for 64 players. wake island and tampa. I didn't see anything else

In my opinion this game needs someone to mod the coop and single player of it to open up the maps to 32 and 64 one last time. I dont know why revive never did that? someone should. Cause none of the mods out there work with this version of the game. They always crash.
