How to play bf2Hub with your Steam copy

1. Download and install Battlefield 2 from your steam library

2. Download and install BF2Hub

3. Open BF2Hub

• Look to the top left and select "Directory"

• Select your installation folder: ie "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2"

• Look to the top centre left and select "Battlefield 2 on this Computer"

• Allow BF2Hub patch to run

The top bar should now be all Green.

4. Click "Play Battlefield 2" from BF2Hub

Upon launching the game, you'll be prompted to install Gamespy and Punkbuster.

Hello it has been a long time since I installed my Steam BF2 (1.5)
As the servers are off I have used the b2hub.com
I have started the program and everything appears green at the top.
and with the patcher program I patch the files as well? and it's all green.
I started the game by "launch" and it comes out.
Application load error 5: 0000065434
And it doesn't work, what can happen? I remember using bf2hub from a long time ago and it worked the first time. Thanks

Yep same for me as well.... also if I open bf2 directly from steam I disconnect all the time and get kicked from matches as I try to join them for no reason... anyone able to help?

Does it still work? I try to create a new account but it's taking forever to create the account so I have to cancel it.

I'm sorry to hear about your issues. I wonder if it's a problem on bf2hub side of things. I haven't played in a couple months but I'll try to make it work again shortly

Running the game in windows xp sp3 mode with full screen optimizations off after installing punkbuster resolved it for me. You may also have to run the game unpatched via steam for first time initialization
