You didn't read the OP and so you responded without understanding the point of offering the Revive client. It has nothing to do with Revive coming back, or anticipation that it will.
The Revive Bf2 game patcher applies bug fixes that the Revive team made that DICE never applied to the official release of the game. And so, the Revive client's value is that someone else either current or at any time in the future working on a Bf2 server hosting project could incorporate those fixes into their own version with minimal work.
You weren't subbed to this thread before posting anyway, so I don't know why you'd need to unsub. You'll get a Steam notification for the thread because I'm quoting you.
I haven't personally tried PlayBF2, but in this video it looks like there are a bunch of servers:

The questions are, how many of them have players, and are there any close to where you live? By the way, there are English subtitles for the video that can be turned on.
Battlefield 2 Hub has a modest amount of players, and not quite as many servers as Revive had. It might be enough, though when I log in during the middle of the night (2 - 4 AM) in North America the only servers with a good amount of players seem to be located in China, or playing a Strike at Karkand-only server.
It seems logical that there would be a lot more people playing in servers for my region during the day, though.
RENEMBER.. NO RUSSIAN.
Huh? I don't get how that CoD reference relates to this thread or my post.
Patching to something that BF2Hub won't recognize would kill the last of multiplayer.
The Revive stuff contains the work that team made to improve the game. It could be useful to somebody who wants to make a new project out of it, or apply it to an existing on.
But it wouldn't make sense to install the Revive patch if wanting to play on Bf2 Hub because Bf2 Hub requires its own patch. I didn't suggest trying to use Revive with Bf2 Hub.
