Is multiplayer still alive?

Hey. i was gonna buy this game 5 years ago, and right as i got enough money for it, it was removed from store. Shortly after i found a guy who had it and i got scammed 50€, and that's that. I played this game like 9 years ago. I remember there was a bf2 revival thing, but i heard it got taken down. Is there a way to still play the multiplayer?

nope,the server on steam and origin were already shut down the mutiplayer service........

Get BF2Hub. There are still a lot of people playing the game.

One of the best servers to date is 2F4Y.com and they've been around before BF2 was killed.

I've been playing on their servers since somewhere in 2012 and they get a server full of players everyday (64/64)! But If you need infantry, there are still more servers out there full of people too.

There are some people playing special forces as well, but you won't get any 32v32 matches on special forces but you probably could get 8v8's or sometimes even 18v18 (if they start a event).

It is still alive. Just install BF2 Complete Collection (v1.5) and use a cd key (you can find it on internet) with "bf2 cd key changer"

then install "BF2HUB" client and register/backup cd key for your account.

Features:
- It is completely FREE
- You can use any bf2 cd key from internet
- 90+ servers are active
- You can keep your gameplay istatistics with profile (battlelog)

I don't know about old accounts but you can create a new account in game.

Does this work with the steam version? Asking because of the "buy on origin" comment, since you can't buy it on origin anymore and v1.5.

Yes it works on both origin and steam versions.

yes. . . tho I only like one server. wake island 24/7. I wish there was a jalalabad and karkand infantry only.
