Battlefield 2 EA closing servers
In 2011 I purchased the Battlefield 2 Complete Collection on Steam.
Over the years EA closed Gamespy's servers and killed the BF2 online.

I discovered that a group of people who revived BF2.

I just saw that there's another way to play that I've tried and it's going well.

I hope it lasts a long time.
Best regards

Nice to hear. I hope you still are as the servers and the community never really went away. The spirit of BF2 lives on with BF2Hub. Servers are up and pretty much full in the evenings. The only issue is the scum and filth called EA that repeatedly tried to snuff this game and the people that still play it.The Revive Project was a brilliant attempt to bring back the old guys that played BF2, BF2142 and Heroes. The only mistake they made was allowing people to download said games giving those sheitheads at EA an excuse to shut it down. As the last Battlefield with dedicated server support, it will live on as long as people keep playing it. Never forget this great game. Cheers

This is what I saw that regards to EA..

Other old games kept their own games alive, they do have all the damn money but "can't" keep a great game alive? This is why I don't buy any other game from EA.. It was fun for BF3 but other games came and it did not feel the same.

And regarding to BF2 Hub, I have gotten a free download that is a rar file, just need to covert to a normal folder with WinRAR to find the setup which you do need a key for, I took a key that worked for me on the internet. I do have the details and sites and key.

Once you do get the download in with the BF2 hub, you will need to do 2 patches for them once you have the ISO online. They simply create a account for you, just need to restart your long progression from years ago when playing in BF2. :)

It looks to me there is a number of servers, and a few playing because of the timezone I am in. Will check tomorrow if increased.

Just install BF2 Complete Collection (v1.5) and use a cd key (you can find it on internet) with "bf2 cd key changer"

then install "BF2HUB" client and register/backup cd key for your account.

Features:
- It is completely FREE
- You can use any bf2 cd key from internet
- 90+ servers are active
- You can keep your gameplay istatistics with profile (battlelog)

See you on Karkand :)
