How to continue with same account on new hardware

Tried to continue playing on my tablet. Use the same Steam account as on my game rig.

When I link data it shows the amount of free crystals I own on my game rig. But then a new game is started. Tried this two times in a row...

The tablet is a Surface Pro (Windows) and I am using the same Steam account. But when I started the game a new game ID was created

The PC account is still ok, I just got a lot of notifications I already have gotten days ago. But the progress is still the same.

When I press that "LInk" button now it says:

Your save data has been successfully backed up.

If you wish to continue your game from the same point on another device, please log in with the following account

Will try once more on the tablet just to start the game...

Thanks for the link. But on the tablet is says that the data was successfully imported and that I can go back to the game - then I continue as LVL 1 Dude.

I now managed to get the original ID while playing the game the first time on my game notebook. It seems extremely important to link before you start playing the game. The ID still needs to say "---".

Now the amount of crystals is too low, still loading the files. Wish me luck, might have totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the original ID now

So when you try to move to new hardware make sure to immediately link the account when the "burger" menu appears on the top right corner. Once you have gotten a new ID it seems impossible to fix this.

You rebooted the game on your tablet and used the "buger" "..." menu, linked your account BEFORE entering the game too fast (I mean the main lobby, as seen in your picture), and it worked ? Is it all you have done ?

I went to a third device, my game notebook. That was the only way to fix it.

I still can't get it to work on the tablet.

If you "tap to start" here, you are getting a new game ID and linking does not work any more...

I will try to uninstall the game on the tablet. Then manually delete any files that might stay in the game's folder. Maybe that will fix the issue...

- Uninstalling did not help
- I then did reset the game AND clear the cache
- Then link the account
- Finally it worked!

Once you are in the game you will find those as well, have a look towards the bottom of the menu
