Has anyone found a resolution to this? I'm running into the same issue, excluded the whole folder that it's installed on from Windows Defender yet it is still getting stuck on the download page

Nope, I get to the screen where it downloads the files and it just gets stuck. Happens on my Steam deck too. None of my other online games behave like this. I confirmed I have it as an exception on my firewall so it's not that

hm, since it has to download about 22 GB of data, can you tell where in the process it gets stuck and how much you were able to get downloaded?

It usually gets stuck around 27%. I have decent internet and I whitelisted from my firewall so I am absolutely puzzled on why it's not working. It does the same thing on my Steam deck

hm so i'm guessing it's not from a lack of storage space.

have you tried contacting the developer? (square enix will just tell you to go to them as well)

It won't even load, I just get the infinite loading screen. Neither.

No, I went to play it again later and it happened and is still happening.

Did you try to delete this folder? C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\FF7EC\Steam\NUMBER\MessagePack.

No, should i try to find it and delete it? I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling the game but lost my data both times so not doing that.

I just showed you where to find it and yes if you have it, delete it. It is what causes the loading issue for a lot of people.

No the file is not coming up in my computer, I tried following to different paths, but it does not exist....I hit up SE Support and they are looking into it for now.
