remember 2006 e3
There are "briefings" before each mission, and at the end of the level, you'll hear a little voiceover reflecting on the battle.
But again, no characters, no plotline. I loved CoD2: Big Red One on PS2 because it had interesting characters, but this game offers nothing. It's short and towards the end starts throwing in Super-Nazis that belong in Wolfenstein not Medal of Honor. Wouldn't recommend.
The gameplay is fun, but there isn't any real story or plot behind it.
I thought this game was good. Not much of a story, but when was there ever a story to a WW2 shooter? I don't remember CoD 2 having much in the way of characters or a storyline either.

I know Yahtzee's "reviews" are usually just a combination of jokes and ranting, but this one does touch on some of the main problems. Game is short, hard, and lacks any personality. Randomly goes from "realistic" to fantastic. I was disappointed, but I am aware people did enjoy it.
They did back in the early days. Finest hour definately did it right I feel. The Big Red One did ok, but in WW2 storylines I typically like to play as all sides during the course of campaign, (or at least the different allies)
