lack of coal, wool, egg or even mithril ores? let mobs drop!
Lots of people like me feel like there is not enough coal, since we need to use it everywhere. Before dekovir made some change for alternative energy source solution, or maybe not, here is my solution to figure out this problem.

Basically, what I did is to let mobs drops coals, since mobs like zombie and skeleton spawn everynight.

First, find out the location of the game file, mine is in the steam\steamapps\common\craftthwworld

change the main.pak to main.rar

open main.rar

open "data: folder

open creatures.xml with notepad

now you will see all the creatures' setting in the game

search for <creature name="zombie">

you will see several lines of code like this:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
<creature name="zombie">
<params>
<ai value="zombie"/>
<height value="47"/>
<width value="30"/>
<healt value="5"/>
<scale value="1"/>
<walk_speed value="30"/>
<climbs_speed value="20"/>
<radius value="3"/>
<fall_height value="10"/>
<attack value="0.3"/>
<resources value="brains-1"/>
<water_die_time value="0"/>
<attack_push value="true"/> <!--отталкивает врага при ударе-->
<!--<pieces value="gfx\characters\zombie\piece_"/>-->
<effect value="zombie_eff"/>
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
search for :resuroces, then you will fine: <resources value="brains-1"/>
resource value controls the mobs' drop. so just add some other value in it:
<resources value="brains-1,coal-1,iron-1"/>

now save the file, close the main.rar and change it back to "main.pak",go back to game. Now, when you kill zombie, they will dorp coal and iron

you can also add resources value to other mobs.
I changed skeleton_boss's resources value to : <resources value="mithril-4"/>,
Now everytime I kill one skeleton_boss, I can get four mithril ores, LOL

PS:Besides mobs, you can also change chicken, yak, and sheep's drops in this file.

Alos, if you goes down, you will see a section called"spwan creatires"
you can change the spwan time, spawn radius and other featrures.There are comments behind each line. You may not have the ability to understand the comments because they are written in russian. BUT, with the help of GOOGL TRANSLATE, you dont have to worry about it anymore!

Attention!!!!!! If you change the mobs' drop to a huge number, like 99, you may lose the interest to this game and it is gonan take a while for your dwaries to move those drops back to warehouse.

Anyway, this is a great game! Looking forward to new update features!

It's actually a zip file, not a rar one.

It is renewable. There can only be a set number of non-hostile mobs, including snails. Kill everything on top and more sheep will come. If you doubt this I can show you an above ground screenshot with only sheep in it using this method. It doesn't take a genius to see this in action. Now coal gets rough if you use it for food. If your smart you wont except to progress in the tree and you will have enough. I agree drops could be higher but they are there. Anything else is complaining for complaining sake and not wanting to put a small amount of effort into the game. I wish so many people could play oldschool games where you could actually lose, you fail you start all over, not this "please give me everything now!, make it easy" bull. Gamers who are crying so much about easy to solve problems, you are a discrace to the name gamer.

On a small world, I ran out of berries and no new bushes grew anywhere above ground for hours. It may be a bug. I played for about 4 hours straight and no new trees or bushes were growing. I had gotten to lvl 9 and been successfully fighting off goblins and undead invasions with a mix of mostly leather with some steel/silver armor pieces and steel weapons/silver tools.

Very adictive game. The crafting progression doesn't seem logical though. Maybe that will get adjusted before final release (i.e. walls/building stuff on one track, food on another, furniture on another, armor & weapons on another, tools crafting items on another). :)

I think the solution for running out of these Rarer recources in the endgame is already planned as the shop.
That is very likely, Azuru. I just think it's a bit annoying that there is a resource shortage. It's still one of the nicer casual games I've tried so I'm happy to wait till the game is more feature complete.
