Cheat mode found & known options. v0.6 NOW WITH SPEED
So in Gambon's thread about the world editor; I stumbled upon a cheat mode. Just for clarity (as I consider "cheats" different from a world editor); I figured I'd start a new thread.

Additionally *I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE FOR OR AGAINST CHEAT CODES OR CHEATING* I'm simply reporting what I've found. If you don't like cheat codes; then leave this thread and don't use them. I really shouldn't have to point this out however I've seen far too many flame wars start this way.

Anyways....

On Windows CTRL+F will enable it (you'll see "cheat mode" on the bottom left.

While in Cheat Mode
CTRL+G will add 10 of (it seems) EVERYTHING to your inventory.
CTRL+M causes "Gold Rush"; not sure what this actually accomplishes
CTRL+K spawns an ENEMY portal.
CTRL+N sets the time to dusk
CTRL+D sets the time to dawn
CTRL+L Unlocks all 3 levels / worlds for play. Must be done in a world; back out and start a new one. All 3 levels are now unlocked.

CTRL+Q Enables all quests; still exploring what this does.
CTRL+W Causes a rain storm?
CTRL+E Level editor
CTRL+R Unlocks the full skill tree
CTRL+O Shows AI pathing points
CTRL+P Shows AI path. Not sure on diff between +O and +P
CTRL+S Hides UI
CTRL+H Shows the area denoted as your "House"

CTRL+C Shows a coordinate system
CTRL+V removes the fog of war
CTRL+B Crash block mode; unknown effect.

CTRL+ 1-9 spawns a mob under your cursor as follows:
1 Black whisp
2 Skeleton
3 Zombie
4 Big Ogre
5 C'thu'ulu
6 Chicken
7 Sheep
8 Goblin (small)
9 Spider

NUMBER KEYS WITHOUT CTRL: Game speed modifiers. 1 = Normal; 9 = 9x speed.

Version History:
V0.1 Initial post
V0.2 Explained "all Levels"
V0.3 Added all quests, Rain storm, Level editor and more
V0.4 Added the last of the obvious key combinations.
V0.5 Detailed the mob-spawn keys.
V0.6 Further refinements; ALT key now seems unnecessary; speed modifiers.

Nice find, I wonder if "allow all levels" works considering the second world is locked untill a later date by the devs

It unlocks them for play; I just started game on world 3 for trial. I would assume that they are unfinished in the sense of still needing tweaking for playability however it DID just start me on an ice world.

Nice!

Updated with what individual mob spawn keys do.

Heh; you sort of do. Fooling around trying to get all the key combonations; I realized that by keeping it daytime; you only ever have to worry about the goblin-camp that spawns on occasion. The zerg-rush every 45 minutes is composed entirely (or in my experience) of night-time only mobs with the exception of the C'thu'ulu-like mob; and that one will die / despawn on its own after a little while so long as you don't engage him.

When you need specific drops from enemies; just spawn them individually at your leisure.

thats a great hint! thank you very much again, gonna try it right now :D

mhm, to bad - there seem to be different controls in place for osx... have you found them somewhere written down? or are you just testing each key?
anyidea on how to use the in-game level editor? just enable it dosent do anything...

oddly the editor works for me, any other cheat doesnt :(
so i have to access it froom the main menu? i tho i can just do real time editing in game XD
Conir Nov 21, 2013 @ 6:24pm
no, the editor just opens up after you press the shortcut. you arent actually changing anything in the map you are currently playing on - you start a new blank map

Trial and error; though I've been poking around at the game files hoping to find a master list. MacOS keys would have to come from someone on a Mac I'm afraid unless I find a master list somewhere.

I'm afraid I don't. I don't even get the screen that Conir posted. At a guess; since Conir is using a Mac; there is either a key combo I haven't found yet which spawns THAT world editor; or else the Windows version isn't implemented yet.

As a side note; I've converted this to a "guide" so it's less likely to get lost. I'll still keep updating my original post with what I find; but you an find a prettier version at the link below:
