Just lost my save file. 40 hours wasted

After a crash this morning I've lost my savefile. There are a lot more threads like this, but just wanted to make sure the discussion will stay alive. It's a great game and although I really dislike all the dragging, I hate losing my progress.

Fortunately (?) there are folks out there who have played even more hours than I have. But yes, a wee bit obsessed there for a while.

Try to find the file named "game1.sav.bak" in folder with all the saves. Then in slot of your disappeared save rename this file in "game1.sav".

Slot1 was missing, and in the Rar file with saved files seems to be my save file. but game doesn't recognise it when I place it back.

For people who don't know how to acces your save file, easiest for me was to start the game, --> options --> send feedback.
