Spending 20h for beating the first level, after unlocking everything, and do it all again on the next level seems a bit too tedious. Maybe split it up a bit?
Level 1: use the first techs and complete it.
Level 2: need to unlock tier 2-stuff to beat it.
Etc etc... old formula that works well. Having to research every tier to complete the first level on such a slow game is bound to make people not wanting to continue with the 2nd level. :/
Haha! Well, maybe :D I wouldn't know. But still though, having to unlock everything on the first level seems like a long grind. I've searched around on the web and it seems to be *a lot* to unlock.. Now don't get me wrong. Crafting and exploring is a combination that usually works very good with me. Maybe I'm just thinking about it the wrong way. You know, usually the first level is the "tutorial" where you ease into the game and try a few mechanics and as the game progresses you get to learn more complex recipes and such.
Maybe that's not the way to think about it here.
But it still sounds like you craft a lot of stuff just because the game tells you to. Not because you need or want to use the ítems crafted. And if that's the case, imo the game kind of fails. Crafting should be fun or needed for natural reasons - not feeling like a chore.
I'm gonna keep this in my wishlist for now though. Seems like a good game otherwise. :)
