How to create water from snow?
Is this currently implemented? The description text for snow says that it can be melted into water, but have thus far found no way to actually do so.

What you can definitely do is make snow into ice and place it underground where it will melt. I've heard snow placed underground will also melt but for some reason I've not got around to trying it yet.

I put snow in mediocre-underground and they melt in 5-10seconds to water, this way you can have your water

Thanks guys! Yep, can confirm Vertibird's method actually works, because I found out after reading the FAQ earlier in another post. >.< I just wish it wouldn't evaporate so quickly-- I've been trying to create a fish pond for myself and I don't think you can create one on your own (if someone else figured out to actually do this, post a reply!).

I'll have to try it with ice. Maybe it can yield a higher amount of water...

You can make ponds, I love doing those like this one here:

The trick is to use stone, solid material that doesn't let water seep through. When you make one underground in an iceworld you can surely use blocks of ice instead of block of snow to fill it up much faster.

It also is fun to add a few underwater lights (in closed of spaces) to light up the pond from inside.
