How to get seeds?

I have wheat farms and i chop down the wheat but i dont get seeds or anything and i always run out of seeds so i cant progress through the tech tree through the advanced cooking part.

can i do anything with wheat and can seeds be farmed?

Seeds will drop as you mine. Once you get and build a mill you can turn the wheat into seeds. You should have seen that on the Tech Tree under Farming.

Clicking on any item in your inventory with the crafting window open will show how/if it can be created once you've unlocked the appropiate recipie.

In this case, clicking on seeds will show a single wheat stalk in the recipie, and will yield 3 seeds each.

It may be hard to see the wheat cause the colors are close.

I've struggled to get seeds/grain as well. Got some by digging rooted earth. Oh.. yeah I forgot that you can break down/ recycle stuff by having items placed in the result slot in the crafting menu *facepalm*
