Falling off Bridges?

Is this a bug or is it intended? Seems odd that my dwarves are routinely falling off bridges ive made.

If it's the log bridge they might. The other wooden bridge made with planks I think is wider.

Is it true that recipes are randomly dropped?

I think it's obviously intended when the Dwarf comically flails and cries out before falling off the log bridge..

The recipes are randomly dropped in sandbox mode. In campaign you have to follow the tech tree.

While some enemies don't fall down, gives them an advantage.

The dwarves do not fall off stone bridges. Recipes are randomly dropped in sandbox mode. Prior to the last update several critical recipes never dropped. I have not played through with the new update so I do not know if this has been fixed.
