Drag and Drop Crafting Must Go
This is a blight on what is otherwise a fairly enjoyable game. I wouldn't mind as much if the dwarves kept working while I was crafting. However, the fact that the game comes to a stop every time so I can fumble around menues to click, hold, pull, drop... items onto the recipe boxes is mind-numbing. (Note: I know you can double-click to get to the ingredients quickly, but it's still a huge waste of time having to drag them and adds absolutely nothing to gameplay.) I wouldn't have even commented on it, except I just got past world one and now I'm in world two with all my recipes reset having to manually re-craft all the stuff my dudes should know. (I also feel like losing all of your recipes between worlds is dumb, it takes away the sense of accomplishment you get from advancing through the tree in the first place.) But I'm getting off topic, my initial and biggest gripe with game so far is the drag and drop, if you could remove it I'd be very grateful. (Or at the very least, make it so I don't have to do it all over again when I get to a new world.)

If you have crafted a recipe once, you can just press the "craft"-button to automatically fill in the materials.
Why should you keep you tech tree progress when you advance in levels? You would have achieved everything from the beginning wich makes the game quite pointless. And by the way, it doesnt matter if your dwarves know how to craft the stuff as you dont get the same dwarves again...

When you move to a new stage, you lose all recipes and have to manually craft them again. It's just tedious, honestly you should just be able to craft items you have the recipe for...

Actually this has topic has been in spotlight for long. And the dev have added some features to help with it:

1. Clicking on an empty grid which required an item will open the location exact location of that item for you to drag.
2. Once you put an item somewhere on the grid, double clicking it will fill every nearby grid which requires it.
3. The latest: once you craft an item once, clicking the button just below the grid will auto-fill it. Click again to craft.

Most of my playtime was when there were only 1 and 2. Most of the recipe can be enjoyable puzzle thanks to no 2. No 1 just help in general. No 3 is priceless when all the ingredients are different and no 2 can't help at all. I don't mind dragging each of them if only once.

1 and 2 was called quick pick system: youtube.com/watch?v=lo8E3PI09Ko

Yeah, I really like number 3, I just wish it would persist from world to world...

No reason to drag and drop to begin with. It's a crappy minecraft mechanic that has no place here. It's just tedious and not fun. Just have a craft button and that's it.

Yes I know it's only the first time but even then it serves no purpose.

Please please, remove the drag and drop after world 1, no point to it to the knowledgeable player. It's only good for new players to learn which recipe requires what.

I concur, just have the Autofill button work from the beginning as soon as you have the Recipe

Any chance someone could make a Mod that does that?

This game still has drag and drop? Stupid developers.

With the patch/release of the DLC, it auto fills now first time.

Not sure if DLC is required, but would be shocked if it was.

Auto fills as in: You click the button to craft, the mats appear in the boxes and consumed.
